Merideth Gilmor, Founder

Merideth started her career in New York at Conde Nast, where she worked in public relations for magazines such as Mademoiselle, GQ and Women’s Sports & Fitness. Merideth then shifted gears to lead the global communications team for Escasda and Sergio Rossi, a part of Gucci group. While there, she focused on entertainment marketing, lifestyle and fashion editorial. She was later recruited by Nike Inc., to lead the global communications for the Cole Haan brand. For nearly eight years, Meredith led all events, communications, strategic partnerships and energy collaborations before switching gears to open her own firm, Modern Global Communications.

 

Lisa Pisano, Consultant

Lisa leads the day-to-day activities at MGC. Lisa previously lead all communications and PR for the external brands for Liz Claiborne, specifically Kate Spade, Lucky Brand, Mexx and Jack Spade.

 

Liz Walker Swanson, Consultant

Liz previously held the  role of Communications / PR Director at Tibi. She excels at media relations and high-profile event planning.

 

Vanessa Cook, Specialist

After obtaining a Magazine Journalism degree at the University of Missouri, Vanessa began her career in fashion editorial at publications such as Self and InStyle. She made the jump to public relations in 2007 where she led the men's division of the Cole Haan communications team. Vanessa specializes in men's fashion & lifestyle PR, and event coordination. 

 

Kim Syphrette, Coordinator

Kim supports all teams cross functionally and specializes in event production.
